When can I activate Bikesavr?
When you load up your bike, before you leave home, when you’re at the trail or anytime! Biksavr will alert you at the perfect time, just before you reach your return location.
How does it work?
Bikesavr uses GPS to keep track of where your phone is located. When you get close to your chosen return location, it sets off a visible and audible alert.
Will it drain my phone’s battery?
The Bikesavr app employs unique geolocation technology that is designed to check your location less often when you’re further from your return location, so it won’t drain your battery.
Will Bikesavr alert me when running in the background?
Yes, but make sure that you launch your phone’s Settings app and tap Notifications> Bikesavr, and make sure that Alert Style is set to ‘Alerts’ and that Sounds is set to ON.
How do I know Bikesavr is Active?
When you tap the ‘Save My Bike’ button, the screen will update with a “BIKESAVR IS ACTIVE” bar. It will not turn off unless you tap ‘Cancel’ or you reach your chosen return location.
How do I drag the drop pin to my garage?
Zoom in on the map and utilize the 3 different map views to view your garage more easily. Touch the pin to hold it, drag it directly over your garage and drop it. You can do this as many times as you want until you’re happy with the spot.
Can I store multiple return locations?
Yes. To save a new location, press the “Edit” button, followed by the “Add New” button on the “Locations” screen.
Note: Bikesavr uses a “Safe Zone” to disallow premature alerts. If you’re activating from your chosen return location, you must travel outside of a 1000 meter radius before the app will allow an alert to fire.
